CHILD SERVICES

EARLY INTERVENTION

Effective early intervention works to prevent problems occurring, or to tackle them head-on when they do, before problems get worse. It also helps to foster a whole set of personal strengths and skills that prepare a child for adult life.

DEVELOPMENTAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT

As children grow and develop, they sometimes have trouble learning in school, difficulty concentrating, or problems getting along with others. When this happens, a psychological assessment can pinpoint where the difficulties lie.

SPEECH THERAPY

Speech therapy helps children and adults improve their communication and language skills. No matter what’s affecting your ability to speak or communicate effectively, speech therapy can improve your quality of life. Talk to a healthcare provider about a speech therapy evaluation if you or your child has trouble talking, hearing or using language.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Occupational therapy is a treatment that helps people overcome physical, emotional and social challenges. Your therapist will design customized interventions to help you meet your goals and safely participate in your daily routine. OT can help them regain independence in all areas of their lives. Occupational therapists help with barriers that affect a person's emotional, social, and physical needs.

BEHAVIOUR THERAPY

Behavioral therapy is a term that describes a broad range of techniques used to change maladaptive behaviors. The goal is to reinforce desirable behaviors and eliminate unwanted ones. Behavioral therapy suggests that since old learning led to the development of a problem, then new learning can fix it.

PARENTING

Parenting counseling, also known as parent counseling or family therapy, can help parents develop the skills to support their children. It can help parents understand their child's behavior and emotions, and learn how to communicate with them.

AUTISM

Autism spectrum disorder is a condition related to brain development that impacts how a person perceives and socializes with others, causing problems in social interaction and communication. The disorder also includes limited and repetitive patterns of behavior. It becomes essential to address their mental health for them to function adequately. Other concerns which are seen in school/ college going children/adolescents are peer pressure, poor self-esteem, depression and anxiety due to various factors.

ONLINE COUNSELLING

Child counseling, or youth counseling, however, is a type of counseling which focuses on children that are analysed with mental disorders. Children can experience the same mental and psychological problems that adults do, including anxiety, stress, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and grief. The main role of child counsellors is to focus in treating children with emotional, behavioural, educational, mental disorders.

TOILET TRAINING

Toilet training involves teaching a child to use the potty or toilet. It's best to wait until your child is ready, which is usually around 2–3 years of age. Instead of using age, look for signs that your child may be ready to start heading for the potty and boys often start later and take longer to learn to use the potty than girls.

MEDICATION

We believe in rational use of medication, in situations where it is required. Just as physical disorders require medication, certain psychological disorders also require the use of medication, due to their biological nature. Early treatment goes a long way in improving your quality of life and overall well- being. Medication is usually coupled with counselling sessions to provide maximum benefit to our clients.
